With praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God, the St. Francis Xavier Province of the Society of Jesus in Vietnam joyfully announces the priesthood ordination of six following Jesuit Deacons: Francis Xavier Hoang Khac Luan, SJ 39, was born in Tay Ninh province of Vietnam. He graduated from the Dentistry Faculty of Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University. He joined the candidacy house of the Society of Jesus in 2005. After finishing the novitiate in 2009 in Thu Duc, Saigon, he studied philosophy at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate. For regency, he was assigned to Laos as a missionary. In 2014, he began his theology studies at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate in Saigon, Vietnam. After his diaconate ordination, he went back to Laos to continue his mission as a missionary.  Philip Tran Thanh Minh, SJ 35, was born in Quang Nam province of Vietnam. He studied Laws at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Saigon, Vietnam. In 1999, he joined the candidacy house of the Society of Jesus, and was admitted to the Sacred Heart Novitiate in 2007. He studied philosophy and theology at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate in Saigon, Vietnam. For regency, he was assigned as assistant to the director of Alberto Hurtado Center for social and apostolic work of the Vietnam Province, and as minister of St. Ignatius Community. Now he is doing pastoral work at St. John Bréboeuf community, highland of Vietnam. Peter Le Hoang Nam, SJ 33, was born in Khánh Hoà Province. He graduated from the University of Law of Ho Chi Minh. He joined the candidacy House of the Society of Jesus in 2004 and was admitted to the Sacred Heart Novitiate in 2008. After three years of philosophy at the Saint Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate (Saigon, Vietnam), he was sent to work at the Vatican Radio for regency in two years before starting his theology study at the Pontifical Gregorian University, living in the Collegio Internazionale del Gesù – Rome. After being ordained as a deacon, he is now serving as the assistant to the Novice Master at the Sacred Heart Novitiate, Thu Duc, Saigon.  Peter Nguyen Duc Thang, SJ 35, is from Dong Nai province of Vietnam. He studied English for office management at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology, Saigon, Vietnam. In 2000 he joined the candidacy house of the Society of Jesus and was admitted to the Sacred Heart Novitiate in 2006. After his philosophy studies, he was assigned to the Catholic student ministry for his regency in Da Lat and Da Nang. In 2013 he began his theology studies at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate. Since 2017 he has been missioned to Korean Province for social ministry and migrant services. Anthony Nguyen Ngoc Triem, SJ 38, was born and grew up in Nghe An province, Northern and Central Vietnam. He studied Bachelor of Laws in Hue University of Science. He joined the Christian Life Community while studying at the university. He was admitted to the Sacred Heart Novitiate of the Society of Jesus in 2006. After taking the first vows he studied philosophy at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate in Saigon. Next he served as an assistant to the secretary of the Province. After one year of his regency he was missioned to be assistant to the Director of the Candidate House. He was sent to the Philippines to study theology at Loyola School of Theology in 2013. After his studies, he was assigned to be an assistant to the Director of the Candidacy House, Saigon.  Peter Pham Cong Tung, SJ 34, was born and grew up in Dongnai province, Vietnam. He studied Oriental Study in Hochiminh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Saigon, Vietnam. In 2004 he joined the candidacy house of the Society of Jesus and in 2006 entered the Sacred Heart Novitiate in Thu-duc, Saigon. He took his vows on May 31, 2009. He studied philosophy at St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate in Saigon, Vietnam. After three years studying philosophy Br. Tung did his regency as an assistant to the minister and as a minister of Sacred Heart novitiate for two years. In 2014 he began his theology studies at Loyola School of Theology, Philippines. He is now serving as the minister of the Sacred Heart Novitiate, Thu Duc, Saigon.  The ordination will take place at 6.00 AM on Monday 03 December 2018 at the St. Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate, Thu Duc, Hochiminh City (19 duong 5, KP 2, P Linh Trung, Thu Duc, TP Ho Chi Minh). The ordaining prelate will be Most Rev. Joseph Nguyen Chi Linh, Archbishop of Hue Diocese and President of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam.
