The Prefect has also thereby approved the Statutes of SJJS and the affiliation of SJJS with LST for a period of five years, in accordance with the pertinent provisions of the Instruction on the Affiliation of Institutes of Higher Studies (Art. 17; 10 par 2).
By virtue of this affiliation, students of SJJS who successfully complete their theological program are granted the ecclesiastical degree, Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology (STB), by LST.
SJJS offers philosophy and theology programmes to Jesuits, religious from other congregations and lay people. The affiliation between SJJS and LST, which has the approval of the Congregation for Catholic Education, enables LST to confer the STB degree on SJJS graduates.
