Jesuit candidates of the Society of Jesus in Vietnam have started the new academic year with a 4-day program for re-energizing their mental and spiritual energy from 03-06 September 2020 at the Candidacy House in District 2, Hochiminh City.
Fr. Anthony Nguyen Cao Sieu, SJ, Br. Dominic Tran Van Tan, SJ, Fr. Joseph Bui Quang Minh, SJ, were invited to share about their Jesuit life and mission, as well as about the Jesuit formation. The candidates marked the beginning of their new academic year with the Mass of the Holy Spirit.

The formation program is centered around the 5 pillars of Jesuit formation including human formation, spiritual formation, apostolic formation, intellectual formation, and community life.
Most of the candidates are college students. They are assigned to stay in different small communities in Hochiminh City and Hanoi.
