Most Rev. Sofronio A. Bancud, SSS, DD, bishop of the diocese of Cabanatuan, ordained nine men to the order of diaconate on 26 October 2019 at the Church of the Gesù, Ateneo de Manila University in Manila, Philippines. Among the nine ordinands, eight were Jesuits including one Jesuit from the Vietnam Province: Rev. Peter Tran Hoan Chinh, SJ. Also ordained was one member of the Missionary Community of Saint Paul the Apostle.
