Fr. Tony Moreno, SJ, President of the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific, concelebrated the ordination Mass with Fr. Primitivo Viray Jr., SJ, Provincial Superior of the Philippine Province, Fr. Riyo Mursanto, SJ, Rector of the Arrupe International Residence, and Fr. Silveno Borres Jr., SJ, Rector of Loyola House of Studies, and other Jesuits.
Rev. Joseph Hoang Thanh Phong, SJ, 38, was born in Dong Nai province in the South of Vietnam. He studied studied Human Resource Management at the Ho Chi Minh City Open University. He joined the Sacred Heart Novitiate in Thu Duc in 2011, and took his first vows in 2013. After that, he studied in St Joseph Scholasticate of the Vietnamese Province, and was then sent to Laos for two years for his regency. In 2018, he was sent to Manila for his Theology at the Loyola School of Theology. He is going to finish his Theology in 2022.

Rev. Le Dac Thang, SJ, 33, was born and grew up in the countryside of Thua Thien Hue, a small province in the Middle of Vietnam. He is the fifth of six siblings in his family. Right after he graduated from the College of Economics in his hometown in 2010, he moved to Ho Chi Minh City in the south to join the Jesuit candidacy house, where he spent one year of pre-novitiate. After two years in the Sacred Heart of Jesus’ Novitiate of the Vietnamese Province, he took First Vows on 31 May 2013. From 2013 to 2016, he studied philosophy in Saint Joseph’s Jesuit Scholasticate in Vietnam. From 2016 to 2018, he did his Regency in Laos. Since 2018 he have been living in Arrupe International Residence, and studying theology at the Loyola School of Theology.
Rev. Joseph Le Dac Thang, SJ

Rev. Thomas Pham Ngo Hoang Dung, SJ, 36, born in Can Tho Province, Vietnam. After graduating from High School, he joined the candidacy house of the Society of Jesus in 2003. At the time, he studied at the Open University in Ho Chi Minh, with a major in Information Technology. He had plenty of memorable experiences living in the candidacy house for seven years. In 2010, he entered the novitiate and took his First Vows in 2012. After his vows, he did one year of Juniorate and then two years of philosophy at Saint Joseph Scholasticate in Vietnam. He was then sent to Thailand for Regency in 2015. After three years of Regency, he moved to the Philippines for theology. Now he is in his fourth year of theology studies at the Loyola School of Theology.
