Reverend Father Stephen Chow, SJ

Dear Reverend Father,

I am sorely grieved to learn of the death of Father M. Manso, SJ, who used to be a novice master of the Vietnamese Novitiate in Thu Duc – Saigon and a spiritual director of the Jesuit Candidacy House for many years before 1975.

Father M. Manso made a lot of important contributions to the formation of many Jesuit generations of the Vietnam Province. He was considered a holy and pious Jesuit by Vietnamese Jesuits.

On behalf of the Vietnam Province of the Society of Jesus, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Father M. Manso, SJ, and your Province for the precious gift of his Jesuit life and mission.

Through the intercession of St. Mary, Mother of the Church and the Society of Jesus, may every consolation be given to you and your Province in your great loss. May Father Manso, SJ, be rested in the eternal happiness of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

United in Christ,

Vincent Pham Van Mam, SJ

Provincial of Vietnam Province
