The Advent recollection before Christmas cannot be made offline as usual. However, in that quietness and difficulty, many students from different Catholic groups in Thu Duc have made the right choice. They know that one thing is necessary and they have chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from them.
Two Vietnamese Jesuits: Joseph Pham Dinh Ngoc, SJ and Joseph Tran Van Ngu, SJ, together with a diocesan seminarian, were ordained to the Diaconate by Cardinal Péter Erdő, Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, on Saturday 11 December 2021, at the church of Saint Teresa of Avila in Budapest, Hungary.
Fr Joseph Do Cao Bang SJ, Fr Joseph Vu Uyen Thi SJ, Fr Barnabas Vu Minh Tri SJ, Br Joseph Dinh Viet Hung SJ, and Br Joseph Duong Minh Quan SJ made their Final Vows in front of the Provincial, Fr Vincent Pham Van Mam SJ, on December 5, 2021, at the chapel of Saint Joseph Jesuit Scholasticate in Thu Duc City.
Activities and events such as priesthood ordination, diaconate ordination, vows mass, etc. of the Province are updated here.
OUr implementation of the uaps
Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) are the fruit of a process of discernment lasting almost two years. All Jesuits were invited to take part and in addition our mission partners. It concluded with a confirmation from Pope Francis in a special meeting with Fr General Arturo Sosa. The Preferences give a horizon, a point of reference to the whole Society of Jesus. They captured our imaginations and awaken our desires. They unite us in our mission. The new Preferences are four areas vital for our world today. The Society of Jesus will pay special attention to them in the next ten years. We invite you to learn more and take action with us! We want to make a Gospel difference.
