To celebrate 65 years since the return of the Society of Jesus in Vietnam at the invitation of the local Church and the 15th anniversary of the signing of the decree by former Superior General Fr Peter Hans Kolvenbach SJ elevating the Vietnamese Jesuit Region to the status of a province, the Vietnamese Jesuits have released an ebook that highlights the presence and apostolates of the Jesuit brothers.
Two Jesuits: Rev. Nguyễn Minh Toàn SJ and Rev. Ochi Naoki SJ were ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Tarcisius Kikuchi Isao SVD on 17 September in St Ignatius Church in Tokyo.
31 July 2022 – After spending two years at the novitiate for the first stage of Jesuit formation, 10 novices in Vietnam professed first vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in the public profession in the Society of Jesus.
Sunday, July 31, 2022 marked the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the conclusion of the Ignatian Year. On this occasion, Fr. Vincent Pham Van Mam, SJ, Provincial of the Vietnamese Jesuit Province presided over a thanksgiving Mass and first vows of 10 Jesuit novices at the Epiphany parish in Thu Duc, Vietnam.

OUr implementation of the uaps
Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) are the fruit of a process of discernment lasting almost two years. All Jesuits were invited to take part and in addition our mission partners. It concluded with a confirmation from Pope Francis in a special meeting with Fr General Arturo Sosa. The Preferences give a horizon, a point of reference to the whole Society of Jesus. They captured our imaginations and awaken our desires. They unite us in our mission. The new Preferences are four areas vital for our world today. The Society of Jesus will pay special attention to them in the next ten years. We invite you to learn more and take action with us! We want to make a Gospel difference.
